I started working out!!!!!

After many months of being lazy i finally found some motivation to workout and what better place than at my job!. We moved to a new building and a new gym was built which i must say is great. I felt apprehensive at first but i warmed up to the idea and i am loving it.

There are many machines, all new and the locker room and shower is to divine. They did a physical assessment on me and i am not unhappy with the results i did ok...but that is why i am working out to get my body better!

With that said what better way to start working out than to try something new...SPINNING!

Holy mother of god!!!! At first i was like someone please drag me of this bike which btw can make your girly parts numb lol. But half way thru the class i really liked it and was proud that i was actually working out.

Sooooo I will be spinning twice a week and I will do cardio and weights the other two.

Wish me luck yall!

Rollersetting---Trying to get it perfect

Here is a video of how i am learning to do my rollers. I used Long Term Relationship from Herbal Essences leave in conditioner and it makes my hair so soft and easy to detangle. This makes roller setting much easier and diminishes breakage.

Roller setting has many advantages like body and volume, less heat and moisturized hair. I advice using a leave in that your hair likes and that most importantly makes your hair soft and easy to detangle.

This is the 1st video i do and is not intended to be a tutorial because i am still learning. Please ignore my faces, sigh's, and Jesus help calling.

Advice and tips are welcome

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is one of my favorite oils (I also love Jojoba oil).  Coconut oil is one of the few oils that actually penetrate the hair strands and can be use for moisturizing the hair and deep conditioning. Coconut oil is excellent for hair and scalp care, skin care, stress relief and many more.

I found a cool article that I found interesting on Coconut oil.

St. Ives Timeless Skin Apricot Scrub Renew & Firm-Review

Gently Exfoliates, Very creamy and does an excellent job and leaves your skin very clean.
It is gentler than the original version so if you like the roughness of the beads stick to the original version.

I really liked this one.

Borghese Nail Polish Review

Great quality polish, awesome colors BUT the brush is way to thick for neat manicures.

So i will stick to Essie or whatever other polish i like!.

The picture is a bit blurry but I turned off the flash to get a more accurate color.

Relaxer day ;)

So I relaxed my hair Friday night.  I was 10 weeks post and I couldn't wait 2 more weeks.  Everything went according to plan so I am very glad ;).  I did use a color rinse VIA in black cherry, my hair came out shiny but I can't see the red tones that I used to get when I used my beloved Sebastian Cellophane (I am on a budget lol ).

Needless to say I am going back to Sebastian in 2 weeks!.  But my relaxer came out great!!

Neutrogena Triple Moisture Shampoo-Review

Since I like the NTM deep conditioner mask I decided to try the shampoo because I was in need of a moisturizing shampoo for my rotation.  I also have Aphogee shampoo for damaged hair as a protein shampoo.

Anyway, I used it the day I relaxed my hair.  After using a neutralizing shampoo I did a moisturizing wash using NTM.  It is very creamy and gentle and it left my hair feeling very soft and smelling great.  I am going to continue using as part of my rotation to see how it goes.

But I really like both of them so far.

New Years Resolutions-2010 and a Happy New Year!

The end of 2009 is here...Good Riddance!!!...It was a tough year for all and I want to celebrate that is going-going-gone...My hair and nails are done and I am feeling quite excited.

I have made a list of my 2010 resolution list in order of importance  (And keeping with tradition will probably break some not all lol)

1. Keep me HAPPY.

2. Stay Healthy.

3. Mantain my weight.

4. Workout.

5. Mantain a beauty regimen.

6. Create a facial regimen (hey I hit the 30's and I do NOT want to wake up with wrinkle's in the next 10 years).

7. Keep my home organized.

8. Continue to control my hot temper.

9. Curse less (not sure I want to do this since is quite fun)

10. Go with the flow if things don't go according to plan :)
